Entry: The New Filipino Time? Wednesday, July 18, 2007



When I was in Manila last week, I chanced upon a stack of magazines. I was getting bored playing Sudoku so I decided to read the magazines - a couple FHMs and Cosmos, I guess.

While browsing the pages, I came across one ad for Cebu Pacific. I could not help but take a picture of the ad. Take a look at what it says:

Cebu Pacific ad
Be fashionably on time.
Here's what's in: being on time.
This is the new Filipino time. And it's called Cebu Pacific Time.
Cebu Pacific.
The New Filipino time.

I could not help but laugh at this one. I mean, Cebu Pacific? On time? You must be kidding me. Ever since I have been flying Cebu Pacific, I have never experienced being on-time. They were at least one hour to a high of four hours late! Just imagine what you would be doing during those long hours!

And they call it the new Filipino time? Please. Give me a break.

i think this is their resolution.. baka nagbago na sila. i hope so.. baka jetplane na yung sasakyan mo.. astig yun.

hahaha g0ma! may point ka nga. but then again, this ad has long been used in many magazines. pero hindi pa rin sila nagbabago. sayang. gusto ko pa naman sana, tipong parang sa jeep. pag sakay mo, lalarga agad. hehe.

at least hindi na amoy ta* ang kanilang cabin with their new airbus fleets...i remember once, sabi ng isang pasaherong pa-sosyal sa stewardess: "Miss, naglilinis ba kayo ng plane nyo? Amoy ta*!" Sabay upo at tanggal ng shoes at itinaas ang paa sa may wall (kasi nasa front row sya!). I dunno kung kung plane ang mabaho o yung paa nya. Bwahahaha!

They did! I rode one of their old planes going to Dumaguete a few years back. But your olfactory nerves get desensitized after. Then you smell your clothes after unboarding the plane. Hehe.

Hmm I only rode cebu pacific twice and I hated it. The landing was not very smooth that I had a headache for the whole day after deplaning... It was also delayed but just about 20minutes.

i boarded a Cebu Pacific plane last year (October) and I must say, they do not follow their "on-time" schedules..our flight has been delayed for 2 hours, twice!! so seeing that advertisement from Cebu Pacific also makes me laugh out loud too!! hehehe..

They used to have that tagline in their website. A couple of months ago, napansin ko na wala na. Bakit kaya? XD
