Dear Sky,
You are so talkative nowadays that I sometimes could not fathom just where you get your vocabulary. When you hear something new, you would almost always try to say it yourself.
You love watching TV commercials but you really hate watching shows. You do love watching Elmo's World VCDs over and over again. You get tantrums when you remember Elmo's World and we won't let you watch it.
You do love going outside each morning and each afternoon. However, you now do understand that when it rains, you just have to stay inside or else you'll get sick.
You love playing with balls and with your bicycle. You also love playing with the set of Transformers toys (Bumblebee, Barricade, Optimus Prime, and Megatron) that I got from Jollibee. Yep, those toys I was able to get when your Ninong Allan and I decided to eat that much in just one meal.
You can now say your name although some people may not understand it. But we all do laugh at just how talkative you are. You are now also quick to recognize people you know and you are no longer that little boy who would shy away when there are strangers around. When we tell you to "mano" (read: bless, or kiss the hand of someone older), you go ahead and do so.
You now go to church every Sunday. Last Sunday, it was the first time that I went to church with you. You are such a good boy that you now know how to behave so much so that you do not make a ruckus inside the church. You also do not go outside by yourself unlike most kids your age.
You are growing up to be just like a good little man and I do pray that you continue to do so.
Love you,
Mama (Mamu) *whatever*

Why You Shouldn't Go Out On The First Night of the Week
Because it is the first night of the working week, you are still very much hyper and very much active. You just got a really good rest over the last two days (of your weekend) so you feel like you can take on everything. You and your friends (or colleagues) decide to go out. You decide on this new bar in the Albay area (read: Chef's House) and you try it out. You find the environment a wee bit boring. So you decide to transfer to another lot. You car pool to Swaisi but you learn that smoking inside is no longer allowed. You go for it since you think that you can always go out for the smoke and your main purpose here is to drink and to sing. Yes, there's videoke. You belt your hearts out. Your colleagues decide to do dance numbers during breaks. You also discover that one of your colleagues has this 70's style of dancing. You eat tons of pulutan like those really yummy sisig, a batch of onion rings, some french fries, and cheese sticks. You also down bottles of beer - San Mig Light, San Mig Strong Ice, and Red Horse. You listen to your colleagues sing and dance. You are totally happy because you can sing any song you choose and you would not have to wait for other customers - the place was all yours. You go home at past 11pm and you car pool back to the Albay area. You go home while thinking that you still do not feel the beer in your system yet despite the fact that your usual load is just 1 to 2 bottles. You remember you have downed almost 4 bottles that night. You decide it's still too early so you go put on a movie and watch Gone in 60 Seconds. You go to sleep at past 1am. In the morning, you have difficulty waking up. You decide to let three alarms go off before you stand up and face breakfast. You go to work feeling tired and sleepy and you suffer from this seemingly insatiable hunger and thirst - an after effect of drinking too much. You go to work and proceed with work like a zombie. You yawn just plain too much so much so that you start to feel tears rolling down your cheeks. All the energy you felt during the first night of the week was gone. It was replaced by tiredness and by fatigue. You try to make up for the lost energy and sleep but you just could not. So for the rest of the week, you go to work like a zombie and you just could not get any kind of work done in your usual time span of completing a task. You now start to fear for your life that you may pass out any time because of sleeplessness. Now, you are starting to look forward to the weekend when you can sleep earlier than usual and you can wake up way later than what you're used to. However, you know deep inside that such might just never happen. These are the reasons why you should not go out during the first night of the week. Well, for me, that was a lesson well learned. Heehee! But then again, for fun and for time with friends sake, then it's all worth it. Basta ba libre ulit! Yeehaw!

Appetizer: Describe a toy you remember from your childhood.Lego! It was one of my favorites for I can build buildings and houses and trucks and cars and all the crazy stuff I can think of. Soup: On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest) how observant are you?Somewhere between 5 and 6. I am not that observant. However, I do believe in a communication theory that says that a person can only be that observant if whatever he's looking at is something interesting to him or her. If not, he would not even recall that he saw that. Salad: Where would you rather be at this very moment? At home. Asleep. Or at the movie. Watching Transformers again. Or with Johnny Depp. Just staring at him. Main Course: When was the last time you learned something new?A couple of minutes ago. I was learning how to make my quotes look far better than the usual. Dessert: Fill in the blank: I have ____________ but I haven't ____________. I have money but I haven't got enough to tide me and my son through the rest of our lives.

Oh How I Wish I Could Travel More...
One of the things I love doing is traveling. Well, at least, I get to see new places and get to learn about their culture. I do not travel just to shop or to meet new people. Nope.
A friend is going to HongKong soon and she is asking me if I would like to go. If only I did not have much to consider, I would have gone on ahead and did not think twice. But there are some things worth thinking over.
Incentives. If there were no incentive program, I would have packed up, filed for leave, and went off to wherever. But the incentives come in huge amounts and that's pretty much helpful along the way.
Money. It is not actually a big matter but it is something I do consider. Just think about this: if I were to go to HongKong, I would certainly have fun. But when I go home, then what? I would live the rest of my life in poverty until the next pay day, that is? I don't think so.
Pending Tasks. Now that's one thing I hate. So I better just stay and do my thing here.
I Want Culture! And so HongKong actually does not bring out any excitement at all for me. Honestly. You see, it seems like everybody's going to HongKong. To do what? Shopping? Disneyland? No thanks. I think Chinatown would be very much just like HongKong. If I were to travel, I'd rather go to Davao than HongKong. Local as it may be, at least, there are more interesting places to go to there. Well, that's my two cents.
Anyway, if there's somebody there who's willing to take me to trips to anywhere in the Philippines, I'm very much willing to go. Also trips to countries like Switzerland, Italy, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, South Korea, and Japan would very much suffice. Please oh please.

Who is Atomicgirl?
Atomicgirl is a single mom who is currently jobless. Well, she does freelance SEO and writing jobs and that keeps her busy. She dreams of being a professional photographer and she dreams of owning her very own dSLR. She loves the Internet and she also collects movies, and good reads. She considers herself to be a fan of Johnny Depp and David Cook. At present, her constant source of happiness is her son, James Nicholas Sky, who is a bubbly and talkative two-and-a-half-year old. Although Atomicgirl graduated with a BA Communication Research degree, this feisty Bicolana is quite satisfied with the industry that she is involved in right now. She now lives in Legazpi City although she sometimes misses the fun times she had during her 6-year stay in the jungle of Manila. She is a woman. She is a writer. She is a mother. And she is most definitely not a saint.
