Test. Test. Test Post.

This is a test post. If this goes through, then it means that there must be something wrong.

Peachy, The Spender

girl shopperI am a total spender. That is why I hate going to the mall. And that is also one reason why I hate the Internet.

So let me talk on that. I hate the mall because each time I go there, I find something I want to buy. Or maybe while looking for that something I need, I discover another item that I would like to own. And so it turns out that I bought something that I was not looking for and I was not able to buy that thing I needed.

This would be illustrated by me going to the mall to look for a Johnny Depp movie... say, Nick of Time. While looking for that movie, I chance upon another item - a complete set of Star Wars VCDs at a discounted price. I could not find the Johnny Depp movie so I buy the Star Wars VCDs. Okay. I'm happy. But is my pocket happy? I don't think so. So that means, I still would have to go back and look for Nick of Time hoping that the next time I am there, I would not be able to buy something that was not in my agenda.

Internet shoppingAnd why do I hate the Internet? Sheesh! It is a total marketplace! There are lots of places where you can buy tons of stuff. Like eBay. I look for a Johnny Depp VCD and find an interesting VCD instead - say, Gone With The Wind. Because I have not seen the movie, I bid for the item. Then I do try to look for other stuff in the seller's stash so I can save up on shipping. So instead of just buying one VCD (plus shipping), I spend on tons of other stuff that I have not been thinking about when I decided to shop for that VCD. Geez!

All these happen to me almost everytime. That's why I don't go to the malls that often. Like yesterday, I had to be at the mall to wait for my friend (we were going to watch Transformers). To kill time, I decided to look for some sandals. I found one. Then I tried looking for a blouse. Thank God I was not able to see a nice one. Then I remembered my friend asking me to buy her a magazine for her kid's project in school. So I went upstairs, found a bookstore and flipped my way through stacks of old magazines. I found one magazine, set it aside and then my eyes roamed over to... yup, the pocketbook stacks. All on sale. So my eyes were skimming over titles and authors and found two pocketbooks.

Come to think of it, I have a really high stack of original VCDs at home - most of which I have not viewed yet. And still, I'm looking for more VCDs. Then there's also a high amount of pocketbooks gathering dust and lying around in my room - only two have been read. And yet I'm still buying more. Please help me!!! cry

Maybe I should check-in into a rehab just like what Paris and Britney did. Maybe that would help.

These People Will Die In Last Harry Potter Book

Many people have been thinking just what would happen in the last Harry Potter book. Yep, that's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. And there have been rumors that Harry Potter, our main guy, is going to get bonked on the head, stampeded on by an angry giant, and would be blasted off with an Avada Kedavra unforgivable curse. Well, in short, Harry may die. But not through those ways, I suppose.

Anyhow, I was chatting with my blockmate and coursemate Mayee. She said she did chance upon a whole set of what's-going-to-happens in the last book. Well, not everything's been disclosed but she says the information comes from a hacker who was able to get into Scholastic's main vault, mainframe, or whatever you call that thing where they store all their info.

Now, if you do not want to know what's going to happen, please do not read on. If you are itching and would just like to take a peek, then go ahead. Because I am not keeping any more secrets. I'd like to share the list Mayee gave me with all of you. (That is, if you're interested.)

You ready now? Surprise

  • Harry will go to Godric's Hollow.
  • Harry will find a letter from his mother, Lily. In the letter, Lily said many BAD things about Albus Dumbledore.
  • One of the twins will die. The one who lives will lose an ear.
  • Ronald Weasly will die. He will be killed by Bellatrix Lestrange.
  • Severus Snape will become Hogwarts Headmaster. He is an ally of Harry's.
  • At the end of the series (Epilogue), Neville Longbottom becomes a Herbology teacher, Hermione a healer.
  • Ron will destroy one of the horcruxes.
  • All three will be kidnapped and will be brought to Malfoy Manor.
  • Tonks and Lupin will be wed, will be dead by the end, and will have a son named Teddy.
  • Snape will die.
  • Voldemort will die.
  • Mad-eye Moody will die.
  • Dobby the house elf will die.
  • Harry's owl, Hedwig, will die.
  • Harry and the Dursleys will make amends.
  • The first chapter will be entitled "The Dark Lord Ascending."
  • The last chapter will be "The Flaw in the Plan".

Of course, I'm not saying that these are true. These may be rumors too, you know.

Oh. You want to know more?

Friday's Feast #6

Appetizer: On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest) how much do enjoy watching sports on television?
2. I do feel the excitement but I prefer being part of the real thing and being part of the crowd - especially basketball games. And the fun thing is that, even if your team loses, you're still happy somehow.

Soup: If you could completely memorize any one work of fiction, which one would you pick?
Hmmm... Any work of fiction? I think I'd like to memorize Chocolat. It's really cool. Simple yet you do learn some things here and there. I suppose you can memorize a film, can't you?

Salad: What is your favorite breakfast food?
I want bacon and fried rice!

Main Course: Name something fun you can do for less than $10.00.
$10 is around 450php here. So I guess there are tons of things I can do that for that amount. I can have fun with my friends and go drinking. Or I can spend time with my son at the mall while he plays. Or I can watch Johnny Depp movies at the cinema or go scouring for Johnny Depp original VCDs at the mall. Tons I can do with 450php!

Dessert: How long does it usually take you to fall asleep?
I think 5 minutes or less . I don't usually go to bed when I'm still not sleepy.

Atom Araullo The Reporter

I was finally able to watch TV Patrol World with Atom Araullo as one of their reporters. And all I could think of was, "Is that his voice?"

I know I should be focusing on more important aspects of his report but all I could think of was his voice. It sounded like it was edited. You know... Like those anonymous witnesses who would share stories and their voices would be blurred. Something like that.

You see, Atom has got this weird kind of voice. It's like it's 'basag' (broken). I dunno. I can't describe his voice. It's that unique Atom Araullo voice that I have... well... observed during my stalking days.

Oh sure. ABS-CBN is going to have lots of viewers now that Atom's with them. He sure is a magnet. Too bad I've been depolarized (tama ba?). Wink Johnny Depp kasi! Tongue

Who is Atomicgirl?
Atomicgirl is a single mom who is currently jobless. Well, she does freelance SEO and writing jobs and that keeps her busy. She dreams of being a professional photographer and she dreams of owning her very own dSLR. She loves the Internet and she also collects movies, and good reads. She considers herself to be a fan of Johnny Depp and David Cook. At present, her constant source of happiness is her son, James Nicholas Sky, who is a bubbly and talkative two-and-a-half-year old. Although Atomicgirl graduated with a BA Communication Research degree, this feisty Bicolana is quite satisfied with the industry that she is involved in right now. She now lives in Legazpi City although she sometimes misses the fun times she had during her 6-year stay in the jungle of Manila. She is a woman. She is a writer. She is a mother. And she is most definitely not a saint.

Buy me a cup of coffee.
