I just came home from Charlie's in Daraga. Leonel was supposed to be there but it seemed like the jamming had to make do without us being complete. I was there with Charlie, Arianne, Jhong, and Maricon. As usual, we had our combo meal which was brandy (Generoso or Matador - we had Matador today) and chicken-mani. Yes, roasted chicken with a side dish of peanuts. We also had Charlie show off his stuff as an artist and now, Con, Jhong, and I now have henna tattooes. Yep, tattooes. As if we are from some tribe. Well, it's summer right now so we're just "in". This is the second time that I got some henna tattooing done on me. that's my henna tattoo! siyempre, i had to make sure that i was seen with my henna tattoo. of course, it would serve as proof that the hand is really mine. hehe. Anyhow, I called up Allan for he said that he was at our former house in KNL. I talked to him and Allan and they said that they were waiting for Terence. Kiko, another former housemate of mine, was also there. I told them I would be in Manila by June or July. Hopefully. So there. It was a fun night and I sure did enjoy. A lot. Thanks guys.

I know. I know.
I want to go to Manila. Not for work. But to have a vacation.
I miss my friends. I miss the chika. I miss Manila!
Especially now that I don't have any "enemies" in Manila anymore. And someone is treating me to a night out because he is now boasting that he has a credit card already.
Especially now that I want to be updated with whatever's happening in the lives of my friends.
Especially now that I am getting bored here and I need a change of environment for just a few days. (Don't get me wrong. I love it here. I just need a little change but I'll be back.)
Especially now that I have run out of reasons why I need to go to Manila.
Haha.
Basta Manila, wait for me. I'll be back. I won't be staying for long but I will be there.

Red Wine Is Good For The Heart
and allan (a former housemate in KNL) says that it is the best medicine for heartbroken people. yahoo! that's my kind of philosophy.
just like liquor being your enemy according to the doctor. and so the pastor in church says that you should love your enemy. so you should love liquor.
sheesh. i'm being corny. sorry.

This morning while I was preparing myself for work, my father was listening to the local AM station. And the radio announcer was saying that Bicol region would not be suffering from brownouts anymore.
Remember my post about us having to deal with constant brownouts during the night? Well, it seems that there would be no such brownouts. The brownouts that we have been experiencing were all due to the repair of the damaged electric towers somewhere near Quezon province and it was Transco and Napocor who were behind the blackouts. Now, it does seem like Senator Joker Arroyo has heard about it and so he wrote a letter to the President informing her of the situation. So starting today (if this is really true), Bicol region would not be suffering from such brownouts. The only brownouts that would happen were if Aleco would choose to turn off the electricity.
Yey! Now I'm starting to love Joker. I'll be endorsing him now. I don't care where his loyalties lie when it comes to which side in the government is he on. All I care now is that his loyalties still lie with his kababayans - us Bicolanos.

Since Friday last week, I have been hearing my son squealing out "Tatay! Tatay!" I am not sure where he heard it but he surely did not hear it from me. I have never talked about "Tatay" ever since my friend Ivan passed away. You see, Ivan, when he was still around, told me that Sky should call him Tatay. He wanted to be part of seeing my child grow up and be around him.
But you see, now I'm wondering who my son is calling Tatay now. I mean, I honestly don't know where he heard it. And he would often be calling out such when he is playing alone. Maybe his Tatay is also playing with him and is reminding me to never forget him and tell my son about his other "Tatay".
I still do have one other thing to do to fulfill Ivan's last request from me. And yet, I have no courage to do it. Maybe one day. But as I say, Ivan will always be remembered. And I still do feel like he's always around. Thanks Padi.

Who is Atomicgirl?
Atomicgirl is a single mom who is currently jobless. Well, she does freelance SEO and writing jobs and that keeps her busy. She dreams of being a professional photographer and she dreams of owning her very own dSLR. She loves the Internet and she also collects movies, and good reads. She considers herself to be a fan of Johnny Depp and David Cook. At present, her constant source of happiness is her son, James Nicholas Sky, who is a bubbly and talkative two-and-a-half-year old. Although Atomicgirl graduated with a BA Communication Research degree, this feisty Bicolana is quite satisfied with the industry that she is involved in right now. She now lives in Legazpi City although she sometimes misses the fun times she had during her 6-year stay in the jungle of Manila. She is a woman. She is a writer. She is a mother. And she is most definitely not a saint.
