I know. I know.
I want to go to Manila. Not for work. But to have a vacation.
I miss my friends. I miss the chika. I miss Manila!
Especially now that I don't have any "enemies" in Manila anymore. And someone is treating me to a night out because he is now boasting that he has a credit card already.
Especially now that I want to be updated with whatever's happening in the lives of my friends.
Especially now that I am getting bored here and I need a change of environment for just a few days. (Don't get me wrong. I love it here. I just need a little change but I'll be back.)
Especially now that I have run out of reasons why I need to go to Manila.
Haha.
Basta Manila, wait for me. I'll be back. I won't be staying for long but I will be there.

Red Wine Is Good For The Heart
and allan (a former housemate in KNL) says that it is the best medicine for heartbroken people. yahoo! that's my kind of philosophy.

This morning while I was preparing myself for work, my father was listening to the local AM station. And the radio announcer was saying that Bicol region would not be suffering from brownouts anymore.
Remember my post about us having to deal with constant brownouts during the night? Well, it seems that there would be no such brownouts. The brownouts that we have been experiencing were all due to the repair of the damaged electric towers somewhere near Quezon province and it was Transco and Napocor who were behind the blackouts.
Now, it does seem like Senator Joker Arroyo has heard about it and so he wrote a letter to the President informing her of the situation. So starting today (if this is really true), Bicol region would not be suffering from such brownouts. The only brownouts that would happen were if Aleco would choose to turn off the electricity.
Yey! Now I'm starting to love Joker. I'll be endorsing him now. I don't care where his loyalties lie when it comes to which side in the government is he on. All I care now is that his loyalties still lie with his kababayans - us Bicolanos.

Since Friday last week, I have been hearing my son squealing out "Tatay! Tatay!" I am not sure where he heard it but he surely did not hear it from me. I have never talked about "Tatay" ever since my friend Ivan passed away. You see, Ivan, when he was still around, told me that Sky should call him Tatay. He wanted to be part of seeing my child grow up and be around him.
But you see, now I'm wondering who my son is calling Tatay now. I mean, I honestly don't know where he heard it. And he would often be calling out such when he is playing alone. Maybe his Tatay is also playing with him and is reminding me to never forget him and tell my son about his other "Tatay".
I still do have one other thing to do to fulfill Ivan's last request from me. And yet, I have no courage to do it. Maybe one day. But as I say, Ivan will always be remembered. And I still do feel like he's always around. Thanks Padi.

I Totally Hate These Brownouts
I think it has already been weeks. We all would be enjoying the luxury of electricity when suddenly, the power is cut off. And we are all left in a world that is dark, and boring and totally hot. No electric fan!
Sometimes, the power would be out for just a couple of minutes. Sometimes, it would be out for an hour or two. Sometimes, it would be out for hours on end. And sometimes, it would be out in the wee hours of the morning, just when you are enjoying your stay in dreamland but you have to be jolted awake because of the buzzing of the mosquitoes and the sweat coursing down your body. Geez!
The thing is, if there was something going on, we, as consumers, should all be aware of it. We don't have to be in the dark (literally, and figuratively) during these power outages. Heck, you guys from Aleco could be so insistent if we could not pay on time but yet you do not provide the services that you should be giving us.
Anyhow, there are three "rumors" going around right now as per these power outages.
Aleco is turning down the power so that all of us would be reminded that we have to pay our bills on time. But then again, most consumers do pay on time. The only thing wrong that I see here is when Aleco would say that we have to pay up and would be very insistent when it fact it has been the organization's administration's fault why this power cooperative is totally in debt right now. And then you put back the blame on us. Sheesh.
Candidates are practising just how to exchange ballots. Yes, there is this certain rumor that candidates are already practising their moves on how they can change ballot boxes so that they could win even if they are on the losing side.
The Transco side. Here is the explanation.
