"buti naman okay na kayo." [good thing you're okay now.]
"kami?" [us?]
"oo. kayo. at least, bati na kayo." [yup. you. at least, you're in good terms already.]
"matagal na yun. tsaka mabuti na yun. at least, hindi lang ako makikipagbati dahil may kailangan lang ako o may kailangan kami." [we've been in good terms for quite a while already. it's better that way. at least, i would not be burying the hatchet just because i, or we, need something from him/her.]
"oo nga. nabanggit niya yun." [yup. he did mention that.]
"ang alin?" [which one?]
"yung bati na kayo. nasabi niya yung dito siya natulog sa'min after namin mag-inuman." [that you're in good terms already. he told me that when he slept over at our house after we had our drinking sessions.]
"ah okay." [oh okay.]

would you spend 900php for your hair?
i just did. gawd!
i didn't think i would be spending that much on my locks. but i did. gawd i did.
my curly hair days is already finished. it lasted for four months. two months when my hair looked okay and fine and i loved it! but after that, my hair went from curly to sprizzy to unmanageable. and now, it's back to it's straight old self.
but it's goodbye 900php for me.
now think about it. i just spent 900php in just three hours when i would have to think twice of purchasing a blouse or a shirt which costs 250php.
gawd.
i must have been crazy.

Atomicgirl Gets Featured In Inquirer Blogs
a couple days ago, i went online and browsed through my favorite haunts. i was going through my blog when i clicked on the link to blog addicts (a site of inquirer that dwells on, well, blogging).
i thought i was dreaming or maybe there was some sort of strange thing going on with the connection to find this blog at the mentioned site. but lo and behold! after refreshing the page a couple of times, my blog stayed there. and upon further inspection, i recognized that my blog has been more or less featured. oh yes. featured.
if only i was not in an internet shop, i would have been laughing my heart out. my blog? in inquirer? now that rocks.
you think i'm kidding? well, take a real close look at this one:
and i'm just so elated! and i mean elated! haha. thanks to all of you guys - joey, jayvee, and erwin and to the rest of your crew!
and as per your asking if i'm willing to be featured as blog addict of the week, let me tell you this: a little publicitiy would not help, especially if i'm trying to bring in more traffic to my site. heehee!
looking forward to reading more articles on your blog, addicts!

Big Brother... He's Here.
big brother is back. and it looks like he has not got much changes yet. although the only thing i noticed is that the girl housemates are quite maarte. they would cry readily even if it has just been a few days only.
now i do like mickey. he's game. nel is neutral for me and i have this strange feeling that he's gay. and as for ezekiel, he looks just fine to me. the kind of guy i'd probably stalk sometime soon. (just joking)
so i've been thinking what if were part of the big brother show? well, my colleagues say that if i do, i'd probably be out of the house in no time flat. i can be quite frank, playful, and really sarcastic like you wouldn't believe a person can be quite capable of. and my housemates would be nominating me the first chance they get. and then people would not be voting for me. they'd be hating me and would rather turn off their television sets when the camera focuses on me.
well, at least, it just goes to show that i'm real. and nothing's going to be fabricated. i'm not going to be nice just because you want me to. this is me. accept it or shoo.

A Night Out With The Team
here's a picture of what happened during my team's night out: hala kayo diyan! theon and art. scandal ito?
the whole story? well, last january, we started off the year with a new kind of incentive scheme. well, it was not new for some other departments here in our office but it is quite new to our team. and since it was new, we got quite a high amount of frazzled nerves and troubles here and there trying to cope up with the new pressure. but we did do well. and in all honesty, my team was able to accomplish 50+% productivity increase. and i'm so proud of them! (and proud of me too!) haha. i mean, really. they were able to keep up with the changes given to us. and they did well despite the adjustments. go team! i did tell them though that if the whole team gets right into the metrics of the incentive scheme, i was to treat them to chili peppers. and so two nights ago, maricon, art, leonel, and i had a night out at chili peppers. with raziel and theon, too. we had a couple buckets of san mig light and we also did have a couple orders of pulutan (which when translated to bicol is sumsuman). haha. i just thought that the bicol translation of pulutan was funny and i wanted to share it with you. here are other pictures i took. (and i'm not so excited about posting them because i was never in them!) meet my team: that's leonel. he's a press release writer.
that's raziel. she's not a member of my team though. (see, she's our whole department's manager. haha.)
that's maricon. she's a press release writer also.
that's theon and art. theon is not our colleague. he just joined us. and art is a blog writer. (this picture, by the way, is the original photo of the "scandal" i posted above.)
theon and art again. for posterity's sake. (these two people love getting their pictures taken!)

Who is Atomicgirl?
Atomicgirl is a single mom who is currently jobless. Well, she does freelance SEO and writing jobs and that keeps her busy. She dreams of being a professional photographer and she dreams of owning her very own dSLR. She loves the Internet and she also collects movies, and good reads. She considers herself to be a fan of Johnny Depp and David Cook. At present, her constant source of happiness is her son, James Nicholas Sky, who is a bubbly and talkative two-and-a-half-year old. Although Atomicgirl graduated with a BA Communication Research degree, this feisty Bicolana is quite satisfied with the industry that she is involved in right now. She now lives in Legazpi City although she sometimes misses the fun times she had during her 6-year stay in the jungle of Manila. She is a woman. She is a writer. She is a mother. And she is most definitely not a saint.
