Big Brother... He's Here.

big brother is back. and it looks like he has not got much changes yet. although the only thing i noticed is that the girl housemates are quite maarte. they would cry readily even if it has just been a few days only.

now i do like mickey. he's game. nel is neutral for me and i have this strange feeling that he's gay. and as for ezekiel, he looks just fine to me. the kind of guy i'd probably stalk sometime soon. (just joking)

so i've been thinking what if were part of the big brother show? well, my colleagues say that if i do, i'd probably be out of the house in no time flat. i can be quite frank, playful, and really sarcastic like you wouldn't believe a person can be quite capable of. and my housemates would be nominating me the first chance they get. and then people would not be voting for me. they'd be hating me and would rather turn off their television sets when the camera focuses on me.

well, at least, it just goes to show that i'm real. and nothing's going to be fabricated. i'm not going to be nice just because you want me to. this is me. accept it or shoo.

A Night Out With The Team

here's a picture of what happened during my team's night out:
the theon and art scandal
hala kayo diyan! theon and art. scandal ito?

the whole story? well, last january, we started off the year with a new kind of incentive scheme. well, it was not new for some other departments here in our office but it is quite new to our team. and since it was new, we got quite a high amount of frazzled nerves and troubles here and there trying to cope up with the new pressure.
but we did do well. and in all honesty, my team was able to accomplish 50+% productivity increase. and i'm so proud of them! (and proud of me too!) haha. i mean, really. they were able to keep up with the changes given to us. and they did well despite the adjustments. go team!

i did tell them though that if the whole team gets right into the metrics of the incentive scheme, i was to treat them to chili peppers. and so two nights ago, maricon, art, leonel, and i had a night out at chili peppers. with raziel and theon, too.
we had a couple buckets of san mig light and we also did have a couple orders of pulutan (which when translated to bicol is sumsuman). haha. i just thought that the bicol translation of pulutan was funny and i wanted to share it with you.

here are other pictures i took. (and i'm not so excited about posting them because i was never in them!) meet my team:

leonel laya
that's leonel. he's a press release writer.

raziel siaton
that's raziel. she's not a member of my team though. (see, she's our whole department's manager. haha.)

maricon almonte
that's maricon. she's a press release writer also.

theon dia and art ryan biescas
that's theon and art. theon is not our colleague. he just joined us. and art is a blog writer. (this picture, by the way, is the original photo of the "scandal" i posted above.)

theon and art
theon and art again. for posterity's sake. (these two people love getting their pictures taken!)

Bloghopping = Ghostwriting?

yesterday. i have been doing my usual bloghopping stuff. oh you know. when you jump from one blog to another. check out links and find yourself checking out the newest computers online and then reading about the angst-ridden life of another the next.

i can now see myself when i have my own computer already. bloghop galore!

anyhow, while i was doing that and doing my own share of link building (yikes! SEO still working!), i did have quite a fun time. and then this morning, when i checked my blog, let us just say that there's this one comment that has left me having smiles up until now. oh yes. someone's asking if i'm interested in ghostwriting duties. of course i am!

i just hope that he does offer me a couple good ones though. i'm up for it. and one day turn from ghostwriter to professional blogger. wahaha. *fingers crossed*

So... How Was Your Valentine's Day?

i know. i know. this post is so... yesterday. i mean, really. valentine's day is almost a month back and i'm just blogging about it.

so well, blame me. i've been sick. i've had a lot of updating to do. and yes, i also did not have the right kind of energy to go ahead and share with you my valentine's day pics. as if they were romantic!

well, this one may be quite good to look at though:

valentine's day
those hearts are actually cakes. i don't know how they tasted though.

of course, that's the decorations that we found on our tables.

anyway, we found ourselves in green leaf for chili peppers was full. and i mean really packed. i even mistook those fancy umbrellas and chairs to be part of an event. i mean, really. i thought there was some kind of JS prom or debut going on. but i guessed wrong. too bad i was not able to take pictures of them though.

so what else did i do that night? here are some pics. i'm afraid i don't feel like telling stories today.

atomicgirl's valentine's day
that's me in green leaf.

Talking SEO

So the ituloy angsulong SEO contest has already ended. And I did find some familiar faces when I did browse through the pictures of those who attended the closing. Yes, some of the people in SEO Philippines have already become familiar although I do know that they do not know me. Heck, who am I in the SEO world?

I'm no expert when it comes to SEO but at least I do know a little and I do know some of the basics. And those basic pieces of knowledge are quite helping me keep up my blog. Interestingly though, my page rank has gone down. Now that is not a surprise anymore for I do know that the number of my traffic has lessened. I guess there's not much controversy going on right now so my blog's getting quite uninteresting. But then again, I'm not using my personal blog for much monetary purposes. I'm rather using my other blogs to reap in the Adsense cash. (Now, I'm proud to say that I am nearing my goal each day. But newbie that I am, I'm sure not going to be a millionaire at a go.)

At least I do know that I have been able to rank well and rank high enough with the keyword I am using. Now that is quite a laugh. Even if you do separate the words, I still do rank quite okay in Yahoo!. Well, I guess, SEO people may say that it is quite easy to rank in Yahoo! but it's going to be quite difficult to place high in Google. But still, I'm both at the top when it comes to both Yahoo! and Google. Yehey!

Anyhow, during my spare time, I do some blog hopping so as to get new ideas and get to know other bloggers. And it is quite fun to discover people ranting and raving about their lives. There are those whose blogs are full of angst and there are those whose blogs seem to command hope (but I don't these ones are quite realistic). I mean, really. In this world that we live in, not everybody has a happy ending. You would only be feeling much worse than you already are when you do know that somebody is doing better than you are. That is the very reason why talk shows like Oprah take in a lot of viewers.

Do try to visit angst ridden blogs. They're really fun and I mean not only fun to read. No, I'm not gonna give away links today do there will be no examples. I don't feel like doing so. But if only I was giving out links, I would be showing you the link straight to a colleague's blog. Link exchange? Haha. That's old stuff now. Maybe you give me yours, I'll be really happy then. Just think. Link exchange would be like you get one and you take one away. So that would be ZERO. Zilch.

But still there are these blogs which are merely there for the sake of having a blog. God.

With the tons of blogs out there, everybody then becomes "fashion victims". Some would just put in tons and tons of links and graphics so much that they do not know that in the end, they're only giving links back to those sites where they got those add-ons. And while blog hopping I did find plenty of gimmicks so as to get people to link back to their sites. Haha. Good one at spreading your own link love. Too bad though. I'm not falling for it. Unless your site has got a page strength of 7-10 as well as page rank of the same, then I'm going for it. If not, sorry. No can do.

Maybe that is why I've decided to go pro. Yikes! As if this kind of blog that I have can be called a pro! But at least I'm ghostwriting for professional blogs. And that is some kind of accolade on my end.

Now that I've stated my piece, any possible employers out there... I'm up for ghostwriting duties. Only that you would need to supply me with a new computer. No, I don't want a laptop. Interested? Haha.
