The past week has been quite chaotic for me. It surely was one week when I had tons of things to do. Everything that I used to do in just one day seemed to have blown up to humongous proportions.
As team leader, we had to evaluate our members. And because I had four people, I had to evaluate four of them. And because of me and my big mouth, I found myself doing the computations for those four people. Geez! What I was actually asking was for a day without tasks and what I got was additional evaluation form parts to answer plus all your tasks. Too bad. There were also graphs and charts to do. I don't know how it happened but I did go through a couple of graphs and charts. And only one of them was mine. Hehe.
So, come to think of it, I had additional tasks added to my usual. And as per my usual, it was not actually what I would call the "usual". I know I may be confusing you but here's what actually happened. The team's manager actually proposed that one of my team members be exchanged for one of the other team's members. And so it meant that I had a new SEO copywriter under me. The trouble was that, the new copywriter (a blogger to be exact) was quite new. Fairly new and she still is having a hard time writing one that could be called "so-so" at the very least. Well, maybe because she is still new but I do think she can make it well. And because she is new, I am having a hard time understanding what she is trying to say in her articles. And I do need to make real good revisions of what she has submitted to me. Thank God week one for the SEO copywriter/blogger swap is done. Week two, I hope, would be far better.
Then, my other blogger caught the flu. And he's been out of the office for three days. And so this means that I would have tons of pending tasks. And that would mean doubled efforts (but I do not wish to work extra hours without the pay). But his being sick has been kind of a blessing for me - not because I want him to be sick. You see, him not being around has allowed me to spend more time editing the new blogger's articles and send her some guidelines with regards to blog writing. Whew! But to Charlie, my other blogger, I hope you're in the office by Tuesday.
Saturday afternoon, at the office, we had experienced a very slow internet connection because they said that Bayantel's connection was down and so we were using SmartBro. Oh well. Whatever. The connection was still super slow. So we asked if we could go home early and make up for those lost hours come Monday. Thank God they agreed. And so Raziel, Leonel, Jhong and I went to Charlie to check up on him and see how he was doing. We feasted on pizza and then watched movies (well, portions of National Treasure, Close To You, and D' Anothers).
I do remember though that night when a couple of colleagues - Jhong, Charlie, Jhong, and Leonel - and I went out and jammed over a bottle of Generoso. It was a fun night. We talked about tons of things and we also had fun planning tons of crazy stuff - including planning a musical where all of the members of the web marketing analysts would be joining in. Just imagine all of us doing Grease, The Sound of Music, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, High School Musical, Les Miserables, and Miss Saigon in just one show. It would be the musical of all musicals. Haha. I just could not imagine. Really.
Well, I've been out a lot lately. After work, it's either I am with my colleagues or I would be with my other set of friends. When I'm with my colleagues, we would be laughing our hearts out and doing crazy antics. Singing crazy songs would also be one of those things. And if I'm with my other friends, we would either stay in Ate Pinky's house or we would be having joyrides.
Like yesterday. Ate Pinky and Jorge and I went joyriding (if there is such a word). We went to the airport and ate some barbecue. Then we went around the city and decided to check out the new resto-slash-bar in Daraga. It's named 7th Degree and it really is nice. Really. It is located near the church of Daraga which is situated atop a hill. And so you can see the lights of the houses below. Really looks nice and really peaceful. We're probably going to be back soon.
But because I'm often out, I really miss reading. You see, when I get home, it's already late and I'm tired and all I can do is lie down and sleep. I do miss reading my pocketbooks. I have some here which I need to read. I have The Golden Compass (Phillip Pullman), The Da Vinci Code (Dan Brown), Prime Time (Joan Collins), and The Cereal Murders (Diane Mott Davidson). And I also have Angels & Demons (Dan Brown) on the way. Geez!
But then again, when I am home and I open my computer, I can stay online for hours and just look for anything related to Johnny Depp. Oh yes. My Johnny. He's one of the reasons why I go to work sleepy. He's been keeping me up late for the past couple of weeks. Geez!
I do search for his pictures. And I also am a current visitor of YouTube where I do get to watch tons of videos. I did get to watch one where he was still young and was still part of 21 Jumpstreet. I also did get to see two videos where he was a guest in this Japanese show. The first time he was there (for PoTC 2), it was really fun. The second one (for PoTC 3) was really scary. I mean, it had become quite corny. Not even funny. Really. Scary is the right word for me. Good thing though that Johnny Depp is quite a polite guy. Geez.
Anyway, I remember the Johnny Depp jokes that a couple of colleagues and I shared over a couple bottles of beer. They're pretty corny but I found them funny. Haha.
Eh di depp well.
Ano daw ang favorite na mura ni Johnny Depp?
Eh di depp-puta.
Oh my God. I know.
But if you do have a couple of jokes like that, a couple of Johnny Depp jokes, leave them as comments. I'd really love to hear them.

Haha! Musical of musicals, eh? We did something like that just the other week... But instead of Les Miserables, we used RENT. Heeheehee. May hang-over pa ako.
And yeah, I thoroughly agree with the interviews being scary. The kids are cute, I guess... That is, if they just...stood there...and did nothing weird. Hehe. Johnny Depp was so cute, trying to be polite and not quite knowing how to react properly. Haha! |

@sarah, haha. you got that right. as i've said, the first batch of kids (those two boys) were more fun. if i were johnny depp, i would have answered "no" when they asked if it was okay to show yet another performance. hehe. |
