My Christmas Wish List

so christmas is just around the corner. i've even been in several homes already that sport around their christmas trees and decors. oh well. but i'm not against them or what. just goes to show that filipinos are just so excited about christmas and all the fun and festivities. i remember last year, i was riding the MRT on the 1st of september and during each stop at the different stations, christmas songs were blaring out the stations' speakers. haha. Smile

anyhow, to all those good and very generous souls out there who might be reading this post, i'm listing here my wish list for this christmas. perhaps you are willing to share your blessings with a poor lass like me. Wink all can be bought or given and can be considered to be on the materialistic side. i promise, there are no wishes here like "ending poverty". and yes, i'm not asking for any of those music thingies called ipods or mp3 players. sheesh. they never really gave me so much of a thrill. really. so don't go thinking that's what i'm asking for christmas. please. i'm not a high school kid anymore.

My Christmas Wish List:
Laptop – Atomicgirl writes about life. 1. First off my list is a laptop computer. Not that I would want a laptop and all its flexible glory. But I already have had a laptop once in my life but it was not really a happy experience. Sure i was able to bring with me my work anywhere i wanted to but bringing the whole gadget was another huge thing to conquer. it looks really handy but boy, if you do lag it around, that's when you do feel the weight. I'd rather that you gave me one of the best desktop computers there is in the world, and i'll be really happy. i'm not up with those high tech stuff. all i need is the right programs and software and that's it. i just need only the essential stuff here. maybe add in some features like a DVD player, DVD writer, a scanner, and all those other elements. mind you, i may have my own blog and all but i'm not really a techie kind of person. i know the basics and perhaps some higher stuff, but that's that. by the way, if you could add in a year's free of the fastest internet connection there is in legazpi, it would be really swell.

Clamshell mobile phone – Atomicgirl writes about life. 2. Sure, i'd also want to own a new cellphone. Not that i'm into cellphones and all. but i'd like a new one. one with a fliptop/clamshell design. i'm tired of all the scratches that my mobile phone has got on its screen. i do own two mobile phones. one that i truly love because of its easy to send and easy to type features. and another one that i just hate to use because once a message was not successfully sent, you would have to do the message all over again. i don't care if my new cellphone would have a camera. after all, i'm using a cellphone not for "porma" purposes but for texting and calls.

New set of wardrobe – Atomicgirl writes about life. 3. A new set of wardrobe. That's what i'd also want. Ha. i'm not tired of my clothes. it's just what i want more. more stuff to choose from. different designs. sometimes, when i do buy my own, i feel like i'm just looking for one style and that's that. i don't know what other designs to purchase. i do remember when i was in college, i used to have a closet where i could hanger all my clothes and i could just go through them and choose which one to wear for the day. but no. what i realized one day was that most of what i owned were spaghetti strap blouses, and sleeveless tops. and yes, i owned quite a collection of black pants. no blue ones. no white ones. no khaki ones. just black. and all my tops were in three colors: black, red, and pink. ha.

Playpen – Atomicgirl writes about life. 4. i want a pigplaypen like this one for my son. i sometimes do worry that he might bump his head on some table. of course, i would not want that to happen. he's already learning to walk by himself and as a little guy, he just seems to be so restless. so perhaps a playpen like this would seem to be a cool gift to me, and to him too! and you see, the floors are padded so if he stumbles or falls, he won't hurt. well, not much. but if you're going to give me this, could you have the "fences" made more sturdy and higher? my kid's quite strong and could easily go over the fence. haha. no pun intended. and could you also find a way so that it fits some part of our house. there's too much of my dad's junk around, i just couldn't find a place where to place such a thing. but if you're willing to give, give ahead.

Writer – Atomicgirl writes about life. 5. if you could give me writing jobs, i'd really love it. but paid writing jobs of course. no free ones. or maybe SEO work. haha. that would be the top. but copywriting, blog writing and all that stuff, just send me a message and i'll be there. but just make sure that it could fit my schedule. i'm also working regular hours and i don't have my own internet connection at home. unless you're willing to just give me tons of money each month without a job, then go ahead. i'm all for it. haha.

Bags – Atomicgirl writes about life. 6. bags. bags. and more bags. i'd like them in different styles and in different shapes. and in different designs too. that way, whatever i'm feeling or whatever i'm feeling, i can easily change my bag so that it changes whatever i'm feeling or wearing. top that one. oh, don't forget those black leather bags. no, not those laptop cases or attache cases. i'm talking about bags for women. i just super love 'em. so maybe you can give me a coupe cool and cute ones. haha.

Sandals – Atomicgirl writes about life. 7. i'd also love some sandals. you know, sandals for every occassion. some for just walking around the mall. some for having some fun at night. some with heels to do the clackety-clack thingie while walking along our office's halls. some to do that really cool thing of making your legs look longer. some that would give you that sense of freedom to climb mountains or go to adventures with your friends. just sandals.

Digicam – Atomicgirl writes about life. 8. How could i forget the digicam? sheesh. this one i've already been pining for since it became so ordinary. plus, if i did have my own digicam, i could gladly take pictures whenever i want to and just post them on my blog. blogging would really be much more fun with digicams around. we do have a digicam at home but my father would not even want us to touch it. sheesh. that is why most of his "high tech" stuff do rot because he wouldn't want us to touch it, much less use it. but anyhow, if you would give me a digicam, i'll take your picture. for free. and even post your picture in my blog. haha.

Motorcycle – Atomicgirl writes about life. 9. a motorcycle would sure bring me to places. but i'm still having thoughts about having a motorcycle. you see, i've heard lots of stories about people getting into accidents because of motorcycles. my friends have had their own share of accidents. and so did my dad who had suffered from a fracture on his right shin. sheesh. that was the end of his motorcycling days. but on some days though, i do wish i had one so i can easily go from one place to another without having to walk and ride jeepneys and all that. but if not, perhaps you could give me one of these and a driver to match.

Oblation statuette – Atomicgirl writes about life. 10. Remember my old post on the oblation statuette? well, i'd like one of those. at least, i'd be able to have something to remember my days in UP. and yes, all those crazy years i've spent eating fishballs, kwek-kwek, going up and down the stairs of vinzons hall, cramming for exams, hunting atom, stalking atom, doing nothing at our tambayan, exhausting our brains over exams, exhausting our minds and bodies to do data gathering. sheesh. but this one would serve to be my little trophy and my reminder for all those tiring but really happy years. and no, i don't need yet another UP shirt. only a few people buy UP shirts. what most of us iskos and iskas wear are our org and alliance shirts. now, those ones are cool and just gives you that unique touch. sheesh. now i miss my blockmates, coursemates, orgmates, housemates, boardmates, and all other mates in UP. mga kapwa isko at iska! miss ko na kayo!

Google logo – Atomicgirl writes about life. 11. No, i'm not asking you to give me Google. sheesh. what i'm only asking is that perhaps you could give me a domain. my very own domain. i've tried looking for atomicgirl.com and somebody is already selling that one. atomicgirl.net is yet to be purchased. so if anybody could give me any one of those domains would be surely loved and would be given links from this blog. haha. no joke. really. just do make sure that the domain would stay with me forever without any additional fees. and yes, if i do get my google money, i'd be treating you for lunch. promise. Shades

Flash drive – Atomicgirl writes about life.12. flash drives. i want plenty of them. all those colors and cool designs. that's what i love about them. and the real reason is that if i had tons of them, even if i left one at home, i would still be able to have back ups with me. yeah, right. as if, i was still using floppy diskettes which i could buy for 25php or even less anywhere. but still, the lure of these cool looking flash drives amaze me. so i'm asking for tons of them. haha.

Entertainment system – Atomicgirl writes about life.13. my very own home entertainment system. i'd like to have that one. at least, i can say that it's all mine. i got a radio. i got a television. a huge one at that. i got dvd players. i got my own arcade system. i also do got panels for video games. i also do have my own internet connection. and nobody can come and use it without my permission. sheesh. what life would that actually be. and yes, my dad sure cannot just say that he can turn it off because it's not his! yihee! that would be total revenge -- to actually have something that he would really long for.

CSI – Atomicgirl writes about life.14. yes please. all those CSI dvds. i'd love 'em all. that way i can watch them over and over and over and over and over again. even if i really wanted to be a CSI before, i just can't because i'm afraid of too much blood and i'm also afraid of gore. so by watching these CSI dvds, that would be the time when i could actually fulfill my fantasies and my frustrations at being a forensic scientist. sheesh. so just bear with me and give me those dvds please. the whole set, if you may. CSI las vegas. CSI miami. and CSI new york. just make sure the copies are all original ones. or if not, the best pirated copies would be cool enough for me.

so that's that. and merry christmas everyone!

Who is Atomicgirl?
Atomicgirl is a single mom who is currently jobless. Well, she does freelance SEO and writing jobs and that keeps her busy. She dreams of being a professional photographer and she dreams of owning her very own dSLR. She loves the Internet and she also collects movies, and good reads. She considers herself to be a fan of Johnny Depp and David Cook. At present, her constant source of happiness is her son, James Nicholas Sky, who is a bubbly and talkative two-and-a-half-year old. Although Atomicgirl graduated with a BA Communication Research degree, this feisty Bicolana is quite satisfied with the industry that she is involved in right now. She now lives in Legazpi City although she sometimes misses the fun times she had during her 6-year stay in the jungle of Manila. She is a woman. She is a writer. She is a mother. And she is most definitely not a saint.

Buy me a cup of coffee.
